The videogame Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters, by Namco Bandai, was released the 28th of August for Play Station 5, Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox Series X/S. To celebrate this occasion, we have added a new page in our videogames section with information about the players that appear in the game.

The game is a direct sequel of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, released in 2020. Whereas CT RONC takes place during the Middle School timeline, CT2 WF takes place during the High School timeline. The game is an alternate version of what happens after the High School tournament, with some new players participating in another high school tournament and a different World Youth tournament. Therefore, what happens in the game is not part of the cannon and will not be incorporated in our statistical database

The game looks great, but its players do not have any kind of stats like in other games, only special moved that they can use. These moves have amazing animations, but overall the gameplay is confusing and the load times are incredibly long. Moreover, the cutscenes and dialogues take too much time.

Anyway, it is always nice to play a Captain Tsubasa videogame, and we hope that you enjoy playing it!
